This is a joint meeting with the RMIA (https://www.rmia.org.au/) Sydney Chapter, to share learning between our community members. The Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) is the professional institution and industry association for Risk Managers in the Asia Pacific region. Members of the RMIA cover every sector of the community and economy segmented into the following broad categories:

  1. Presentation of FAIR and its application for cyber risk management

An overview will be provided of the FAIR Quantitative Risk Methodology that was originally designed to measure cyber risk but which is equally applicable to other operational risk areas. Subsequently, Helen will provide examples of practical use cases of applying FAIR for cyber risk management in the field, highlighting the benefits and some common challenges along the way.

Helen has over 16 years experience helping organisations (from SME to enterprise) to understand and take practical and pragmatic approaches to manage their cyber risks. She has consulted in both Australia and Brazil, and specialises in Risk Management & Governance, Penetration Testing, Secure Software Development, Security Incident Event Management, Payment Fraud Mitigation and Payment Card Industry DSS compliance, Privacy and Cloud Risk management. For the last two years at PwC, she has championed and led the use of FAIR across all client engagements in NSW.

  1. Q&A Panel Discussion – Sharing cyber risk management experiences

Our panel session will include speakers with experience of managing cyber risk within their organisations and leveraging FAIR.
