2019-09 (Sep) FAIR NYC Third Anniversary Gala (Jack Jones)

On September 18, 2019, the Greater NYC Chapter of the FAIR Institute held its third anniversary meeting at the ADP One Penn Plaza office near Madison Square Garden. Jack Jones, author of FAIR and Chairman of the FAIR Institute attended and repeated his risk appetite presentation from the 2019 RSA Conference with plenty of time for practitioner questions (PDF attached).

Jack arrived early for meet and greet and stayed for the snacks and refreshments where he selected the first door prize winner--at random of course! But there was a twist...the winners of the two high speed calibration rounds led by Connie Reznik received additional tickets, thus increasing their probability of winning a prize!

The 55 attendees had plenty of networking time with many discovering FAIR within the last 12 months, reflecting the explosive growth of the FAIR Institute. Finally, Jack praised the quality of questions throughout his presentation indicating a desire by the group to apply the concepts--the NYC Chapter is not shy!

Here is the agenda we followed and a few pictures of the event:

3:00pm – 4:00pm – Meet and Greet with Jack - for those arriving early
4:00pm – 4:30pm – Welcome / Introductions / Announcements, Steve Reznik
4:30pm – 5:30pm – Defining a Cyber-Risk Appetite That Works with Q&A, Jack Jones
5:30pm – 6:30pm – Calibration Game (Connie Reznik) / Refreshments (ADP) / Door Prize (Faith Vicinanza w/ various sponsors noted below)
